Read My Paws all started because of a tiny puppy that came into our lives on April 19, 2005. His name is Baarney, and he was the cutest, sweetest little puppy. He made us smile everyday. Like new dog parents, we took Baarney everywhere with us. And, like any parents, we always wanted our child to look his best. He needed the right outfits to wear. While there are tons of cute doggie clothes on the market, we didn't always find the right outfit for some of our activities. We run and are always buying the right running shirts. Baarney came running with us and we didn't have anything for him to wear particularly on race day. My husband rides a motorcycle and as anyone knows who owns a motorcycle, clothes are very important. You must look the part, and you must also know the right lingo. That meant Baarney had to have the right clothes. Have the right lingo. So an idea was formed. Doggie apparel to match peoples' lifestyles and lifestyles they share with their dogs.

That's how Read My Paws got started, and that's what we do. We will be developing apparel along lifestyles. We are also taking care in our design and of course developing very fun sayings to match the activities' lingo. We also intend to add lots of accessories, beds, toys, etc.

We have many more lines planned. Keep a watch as we will be adding new stuff all the time. And, when we were testing some of the designs, so many of our human friends got jealous that we've made some designs for humans too. We can't have the dogs looking better than the humans!

As you can probably tell, Baarney is very happy with the idea as long as he can be the Spokesdog. After much negotiation, we agreed. However, he now has competition. He has a baby sister Tabaatha. Tabaatha is in training and you will be seeing her soon. Baarney will remain Spokesdog but Tabaatha wants to be Director of Everything Diva, and she's doing a good job at that!
